Hyundai & Bilstein
Our aim for this project was to communicate the outstanding precision of Bilstein suspensions to a broad trade fair audience and to make this technology an emotional experience, i.e. something that can be felt.
We mastered this challenge with the world's first 360° VR 4D drift simulator and delighted countless trade fair visitors with an absolutely authentic driving experience.
In order to offer the trade fair audience the most realistic motorsport experience possible, we relied on a computer-controlled motion platform and synchronized the electronic controls with the VR headset and a specially developed surround sound engine to offer the user a multidimensional experience on all levels and make the performance of the chassis physically tangible.
The result of this technically perfectly coordinated interaction: the world's first 360° VR 4D drift simulator.

While the visitor takes a seat in the passenger seat of a 700 hp racing car with the help of VR glasses and speeds around the Nürburgring at 150 km/h, the motion platform is supplied with centrifugal force data, which we recorded in two ways.
For variant one, we used software to analyze the previously recorded VR video footage and thus "reverse-engineered" the corresponding centrifugal force during the drive.
For the second variant, the centrifugal forces were recorded directly during the video recording in the cockpit of the racing car and then processed. Our specially developed software also allowed us to adjust the data on a timeline basis.
