Transparent OLEDs
With the IONIQ, Hyundai presented the world's first vehicle with three alternative drive systems at the Geneva Motor Show. And a correspondingly groundbreaking exhibit was to be developed for this world premiere.
By using several layers of transparent OLED displays, we created a multidimensional, holographic exhibit that brought the visionary vehicle technology closer to the trade fair visitors.
Three motor-driven, transparent acrylic models of the IONIQ and a dynamic sound design added an interactive component to the impressive presentation.
In order to showcase Hyundai's futuristic IONIQ models appropriately, we also had to work with advanced and innovative technology in the presentation.
The core of the installation therefore consisted of three rows of self-illuminating, transparent OLED displays that created a holographic effect never seen before.
The three drive types of the IONIQ were represented by motor-controlled, transparent acrylic models, which moved between the screens depending on the projected content and were synchronized with the video and lighting concept in real time by our software.
The result was a multidimensional, holographic trade fair presentation, which gained an additional level of experience through specially designed dynamic soundscapes.
For the UI of the interactive installation, it was important to counter the multi-layered visual content with controls that were as intuitive as possible. This was therefore realized via an elegant one-button user interface.
