Privacy policy

In the following, we (see imprint), as the controller pursuant to Art. 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), inform you about the collection of personal data when using the website available at decode.io (“website”).

Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, but also your user behavior.

When you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the data you provide (e-mail address, name and telephone number if applicable) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions. We delete the data collected in this context after storage is no longer required, or restrict processing if there are statutory retention obligations.

§ 1 Visiting the website

When using the website for information purposes only, i.e. if you do not provide us with any other information, we only collect the personal data that is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):

  • IP address;
  • Date and time of the request;
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT);
  • Content of the request (specific page);
  • Access status/HTTP status code;
  • amount of data transferred in each case;
  • Website from which the request originates;
  • Browser used, including language and version;
  • Operating system of the device used and its interface.

§ 2 USE OF Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc (hereinafter: Google). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

The purpose of the data processing is to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on activities on the website. Based on the use of the website and the Internet, further related services are then to be provided. The processing is based on the legitimate interest of the website operator.

A retention period of 50 months applies to data at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user IDs and advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID, IDFA [Apple identifier for advertisers]). Once a month, data that has reached the end of the retention period is automatically deleted.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: Browser Add On to deactivate Google Analytics.

§ 3 Embedded Vimeo-Videos

We embed Vimeo videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA. When you visit a page with the Vimeo plugin, a connection to Vimeo servers is established. Vimeo is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your Vimeo account, Vimeo can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account beforehand.

If a Vimeo video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser and, if necessary, delete the corresponding cookies from Vimeo.

Further information on data protection at “Vimeo” can be found in the provider's privacy policy at: https://vimeo.com/privacy

§ 4 PRESENCE in social media

We have a Vimeo page, LinkedIn page, Facebook page and an Instagram page in order to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services. Vimeo, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram have their own terms and conditions of business/use, and each network has different processes relating to personal data, which must be described in the privacy policy of the respective network and over which we have no control.

Unless otherwise stated in this privacy policy, we process user data if and insofar as users communicate with us on the respective network, for the obvious purposes in each case (e.g. to answer an inquiry).

§ 5 your rights

You have the following rights vis-à-vis us with regard to your personal data:

  • Right of access;

  • Right to rectification or erasure;

  • Right to restriction of processing;

  • Right to object to processing;

  • Right to data portability.

For all requests listed here, please send an email to privacy@truetrue.studio.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.
